Choosing the right workshops for you

Levels have been described so that you can quickly and easily see what courses or seminars might be appropriate for you. These are organized as follows:

beginner

These courses are really for the complete novice or someone who would like a refresher of the real basics. No prior knowledge is assumed. You need to build fundamental knowledge and skills. Time is taken to ensure that you accomplish this with hands on practical help and guidance. I recommend that to really be able to produce great photos, it's good to know the following

progressing

These courses are really for you if you already have an understanding of how the camera works, are familiar with its controls and know what is needed to get a good image. Now you want to take this to the next level. Some courses you might want to consider are:

intermediate

You are confident with the camera and are having some real success with your images. However, you want to move from good to great. Perhaps you want to present your pictures, develop a particular style or master a specific technique in depth, etc.

advanced

These courses are for experienced people who are already comfortable with many different aspects of photography, but are still looking to develop their knowledge and experience further, or too extend their expertise into new areas. We are currently developing several new workshop offerings for this level, to be announced shortly.
